Taelor Joste is a hair and make-up artist based in Brighton, East Sussex. Taelor’s always had a keen interest in hair and make-up, and has forever known her career lies within this industry. She trained at the Brighton Make-up School, and has completed diploma’s in everything from Bridal hair and make-up, to theatre and special effects.
“I’ve always loved make-up – from a young age it’s been something that’s captured my attention time and time again. I would always do my sister’s and friend’s make-up on nights out or for any special occasions. This encouraged me to go forward and follow my dream and train to become a make-up artist!”
Taelor has acquired experience, knowledge and skills in bridal and special occasion hair and make-up. Whether you are looking for a glamorous look to wear on a night out, a day time look to enhance your natural beauty and boost your confidence, or an elegant and stunning look to make your fiancée’s heart beat double time as you walk down the aisle on your wedding day, Taelor Joste is the artist for you.
“Being involved in someone’s big day is the most amazing experience. You get to be a part of such an important occasion, you get to help enhance their confidence in themselves and help them feel the best they can. It’s the same for any special occasion – it’s usually someone’s birthday, or prom, and they’re just so excited for it. It’s lovely seeing someone so happy with a look you’ve created!”
As well as this, Taelor has spent many a time on set – at photo shoots and during filming – again, giving her the knowledge and skills it requires to achieve a look perfect for the camera.
“Film and photography has been something that’s always intrigued me. The type of make-up you need to go for definitely varies from your everyday stuff, and I’ve loved learning exactly how, and putting it into practise.”
Taelor has then decided to further her career and go on to study hairdressing at her local college, which specialises in vocational courses. She’s learnt everything from styling, cutting, colouring, to perming – you name it, she can do it!
“Again, like with make-up, hairdressing has been something I’ve forever been passionate about. I would always be styling or cutting my barbie doll’s and girls world’s hair, and have coloured friends and family’s hair for as long as I can remember! Studying hair has really furthered my career and has enabled me to offer other services to clients. Hair and make-up really do go hand-in-hand and I’m so glad I can now offer both!”
